Beijing Safety Test Technology (STT) has built a nearly 1000 square meters electromagnetic calibration laboratory. The laboratory has sets of equipments for electromagnetic radiation research and testing, which includes 3-meter anechoic chamber, EM shielded room, GTEM chamber, low frequency magnetic field test system, low frequency electric field test system, high-voltage DC electric field test system, and temperature and humidity environment control box.

The laboratory's electromagnetic field calibration test system meets the requirements of Standard "IEEE 1309-2013 for Calibration of Electromagnetic Field Sensors and Probes (Excluding Antennas) from 9 kHz to 40 GHz" and "GB/T 12720-91 Mearsurement of Power-frequency Electric Fields". The laboratory has obtained two Certificates of Measurement Standard ("100KHz-200MHz electric field measuring instrument calibration equipment" and "915MHz-18GHz electromagnetic radiation measuring instrument calibration equipment")  which grant STT an authority to issue a calibration certificate with legal validity for factory instruments.

The calibration covers: DC electric field strength, low frequency electric field (10Hz-400kHz), low frequency magnetic field (10Hz-400kHz), RF electric field (100kHz-18GHz), and RF magnetic field (100kHz-420MHz). The E-field calibration range of the low frequency electric field is 5V/m-50kV/m, the M-field calibration range of the low frequency electric field is 100nT-200μT, the E-field calibration range of the RF electric field is 0.2V/m-50kV/m.

STT has a high-quality R & D team with members from well-known universities in China. The team members have excellent R & D capabilities and the team also actively engage the frontier technology research in the field of electromagnetic environmental safety. The team has participated in research projects of electromagnetic environment monitoring research, the development of electromagnetic radiation instruments and its monitoring technology with Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission, Beijing Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, China Southern Power Grid, China Academy Railway Sciences Corporation Limited, China Mobile Group Design Institute Co., Ltd, etc. the team also cooperates with well-known research institutions such as University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Institute of Electrics, Chinese Academy of Sciences to reserch and develop innovative electromagnetic radiation and gas monitoring technologies.
